Summary How does the Army develop and implement a virtual environment that allows Soldiers to assess emerging technologies in a synthetic environment to provide relevant feedback to inform Science and Technology (S&T) research?
This is a pervasive problem - We cannot continue to follow the pathway of sustaining improvements to existing technology and procedures. This is not where "leap ahead" capabilities will be found. What we need is a way to efficiently explore the search space of alternatives to inform our acquisition and S&T enterprise. In this project, we will use as much existing assets as possible to explore how this might be done using real Soldiers and SMEs as the "experimenters". The project is in support of ARCIC and DoD Engineered Resilient Systems (ERS) efforts to identify and validate emergent capability requirements.
