This project is a revision/rewriting of an existing manuscript published originally in 2009 but is in need of updating, further research, and additional insights. Provide CAOCL with a completed, revised, and updated written product (both literary and visual inclusions) that examines and analyzes the cultural relevance of Pashtunwali, informal and formal social codes of conduct in Afghan society, and how U.S. and NATO forces can understand and utilize these social codes for self defense, force protection, and better engaging local communities in Afghanistan.
