Sponsor Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (Marine Corps)
Summary The objective of this project is to provide enhanced research opportunities at NPS for students interested in producing master's theses or doctoral dissertations related to the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity's (MCIA) Long Range Threat Assessment, which provides an evaluation of the overseas environments in which Marines will likely have to operate in the next 20 years. These studies are intended to bring new insights and outside perspectives to MCIA's own threat assessments, potentially improving their quality and usefulness to the U.S. Marine Corps. The project will facilitate exchange of ideas and sources, foster debate on areas of controversy, and help develop a sustainable network of students, faculty and analysts.
