Summary The Navy Director, Acquisition Career Management (DACM), Assistant Secretary of the Navy (RD&A) is interested in a work environment climate assessment study of the Navy contracting workforce. The study will assess the organizational climate of the Navy contracting workforce (civil service 1102s and military equivalent) in terms of work relationships, employee recognition, employee commitment, supervision, leadership, job satisfaction, organizational identification, employee characteristics, and job stress.
The research will be based on responses to a web-based survey completed by the Navy contracting workforce. The researchers will develop the survey instrument with coordination from the Navy DACM office. The survey will be launched using NPS Lime Survey. NPS IRB review and data collection will be monitored over the duration of the study. NPS students graduating in June 2016 will begin work with the first stage of data collection in January 2016.
