Summary The Center for Anny Analysis (CAA) provides analyses across the spectrum of conflict to inform senior leaders about national security issues. One of CAA's major analysis missions is the Total Anny Analysis (TAA). The TAA determines how the Army of today will become the Army of the future. That is, given current capabilities, as well as future requirements and strategic guidance from Army leadership, what actions will enable the Army in the coming years to efficiently fight and win our nation's wars and accomplish its many other missions, such as humanitarian assistance and stability operations. SPARTA is an effort to bring together a set of tools relating to force structure analysis. One of those tools is known as MARATHON-which is an abbreviation for Modeling Army Rotations At Home Or Not. MARATHON is an Anny Force Generation (ARFORGEN) simulation tool that compares supplies (force structures) lo demands to create a force structure sufficient to meet a set of future demands. MARATHON was created over seven years ago and is considered one of the finest ARFORGEN tools available. The objective of this research is to improve the ability of analysts to quickly and efficiently extract intonation from MAR THON by using advance DOE and data analysis methods.
