Summary | As the Marine Corps stands up regiments dedicated to littoral warfare and advances EABO concepts, local command and control of electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) capture is emerging as an important enabler for effective operations in a distributed environment. Mastodon Design LLC's Mastodon Beast enables local employment of electromagnetic warfare support and signals intelligence. Mastodon Beast allows Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) and Signals Intelligence (SI) professionals to carry a capability that captures more of the EMS than current Program of Record solutions. This amount of spectrum capture adds significant value to Marine Littoral Regiment intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance efforts. The project goal is to involve NPS students in the MCWL effort to evaluate whether Mastodon Beast Elite adds value to SIGINT/EW professionals organic to the new Marine Littoral Regiment construct. Assessments will be conducted on use of this capability alongside the current table of equipment used for operations in the information environment. |
