Summary | This research seeks to investigate how to optimally assign U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) officers to billets. In particular, we will study features of a marketplace in which the assignments meets the career progression and billet requirements of the USMC, while simultaneously considering the stated preferences of officers. This marketplace system requires a substantial amount of information from billet owners, monitors and officers. Currently, some of that information is available (e.g., an officerâ¿¿s military occupational specialty) but additional surveys or other forms or data collection will be needed in order to complete the most relevant information needed to develop optimal assignments. |
