Summary | The Naval Postgraduate School will support JIDA and DIA for applied research to support the detection of processes associated with planning, logistics, manufacturing and emplacement of improvised explosive devices. This project will continue the development of a JIDA security classification guide for signatures: the Cognitive Counter Improvised Explosive Device Signatures System. Detection technology is primarily spectral (imaging spectrometry), with both VNIR/SWIR and LWIR sensors. This effort will include an expansion of collection capability to lower frequencies. This effort will include laboratory measurements, field work, and analysis of spectra from explosive materials and precursors. Deliverables include program reporting: performance outputs/outcomes, topical, financial and related work efforts. |
