Summary | The Naval Postgraduate School will support JIDA and DoD for applied research to support the detection of processes associated with planning, logistics, manufacturing and emplacement of improvised explosive devices. This project will continue the development of the Cognitive Counter Improvised Explosive Device Signatures System. Detection technology is primarily spectral (imaging spectrometry), with both VNIR/SWIR and LWIR sensors. Work includes laboratory measurements, field work, and analysis of spectra from explosive materials and precursors. |
