Summary |
The Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), through the Domestic Preparedness Support Initiative (DPSI), identified a significant gap in the first responder community in terms of understanding networks. Consequently, OSD-DPSI asked the CORE Lab to provide technical assistance to the first responder community, specifically criminal justice agencies, about SNA. The CORE Lab will continue to build off of its FY18 efforts into a phase during FY19. The scope of this project includes the following for the FY: Community of Interest (COI): The CORE Lab will continue to develop and to refine its monthly, online COI efforts to provide SNA assistance to interested agencies. SNA Assistance to Two New Agencies and to an Existing Partner: The CORE Lab will provide extensive, SNA assistance to three agencies that submitted letters of interest along with support to one additional agency that has already been exposed to SNA through FY18 SNA assistance efforts. The CORE Lab will also provide SNA technical support to one existing agency so it can continue advancing the team’s analytic skills in a relatively cost effective manner. The CORE Lab will begin FY19 with thorough assessments of each agency’s capabilities for integrating SNA into regular activities. It will also conduct follow up assessments after providing Level II SNA Assistance Events and after leading short follow-ups with the selected agencies. |
