Summary |
This project is a follow on to the C3 Policing and Social Network Analysis (SNA) for First Responders completed in FY15. The CORE Lab will continue to build off of FY15 efforts into a new two-year phase (FY16-FY17) that is outlined below. The purpose of this project is to transfer and integrate SNA into domestic law enforcements practices. The CORE Lab, which has significant experience in educating Special Operations Forces (SOF) in SNA, will continue to lay the groundwork for institutionalizing advanced SNA into law enforcement. 1. Regional Education and Outreach: The CORE Lab will provide three SNA education and outreach events for organizations that attended the Advanced SNA for LE inaugural event al NPS. The primary goal of these two-to-three day events is demonstrate the value of SNA to them and their regional partners. A second goal is to identify additional partners who are willing and able to develop their SNA capabilities. SNA for Law Enforcement Phase 2 partnerships: 2. The CORE Lab seeks to partner with the University of Missouri, Kansas City and the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department, to expand the use of SNA to other law enforcement agencies. We will select two additional police departments to serve as pilots for Phase 2. |
