Summary | The objective of this proposal is to provide customization of the Field Information Support Tool for the California Homeland Security Consortium to determine if field data collection and network analysis can help combat the gang violence problems in California. This effort is similar to a pilot recently conducted in Afghanistan that focused on improving community resilience, enhance local defense initiatives, and improve indigenous forces' ability to respond to violent and criminal activity. Additional work in this proposal will focus on the development and delivery of a set of core courses designed at teaching network analysis for law enforcement officers. Analysis and training courseware and delivery will be provided by CORE lab faculty and staff. |
