Summary	Research and completely rewrite the Afghanistan: Operational Culture for Deploying Personnel handbook for the Center for Advanced Operational Culture Learning and Training Education Command (CAOCL). This project comprises a complete rewriting of an existing manuscript, originally published in May 2009,that is in need of a complete overhaul: including but not limited to updating, further research, and additional analysis. The final deliverable will provide CAOCL with a completely rewritten and updated product (both literary and visual inclusions) that examines and analyzes cultural information, social characteristics, historical context, and the current Afghan environment for Marines deploying to Afghanistan. This guide is intended only as an introduction to the subject for Marines deploying to Afghanistan but will concisely present the multitude of complex issues concerning the cotemporary Afghan battle space.
