Summary | USCG Air Station Kodiak desires to sponsor studies focused on the earliest stages of an HFN in remote areas of operation in Alaska--finding ways to bring the participating parties into a mode of cooperation and trust quickly. NPS students will deliver Master's Thesis projects to meet the goals of these studies. They will consider issues such as preparatory training, overcoming organizational biases and conditional tendencies, technologies to facilitate information sharing, agreements on decision-making and coordination, and involvement of citizens, industry and civilian and military entities. The topic areas to be covered by these studies will be agreed upon in discussion between the Principal Investigators and the USCG Air Station Kodiak POC. |
