Back New Paradigm Supercapacitor for Energy Storage
Fiscal Year | 2015 |
Division | Research & Sponsored Programs |
Department | Naval Research Program |
Investigator(s) | Phillips, Jonathan |
Sponsor | NPS Naval Research Program (Navy) |
Summary | This program will further develop high energy density capacitors based on the NPS developed Tube Super Dielectric Material (TSDM) paradigm for the purpose of enabling aspects of the all electric US Navy, including rail guns and high energy lasers. The focus 3 will be on building a prototype with an energy density > 50 J/cm3. This will require further empirical optimization studies, additional characterization studies and further development of a model. |
