Summary	The Assistant Secretary of Defense, Research & Engineering/STEM Development Office (ASD(R&E)/SDO) requires highly specialized technical, budget, and programmatic support for the National Security Science and Engineering faculty Fellowship (NSSEFF) Program. In 2008, the ASD(R&E) established the NSSEFF Program to support senior level faculty basic research in topic areas of importance to DoD and to ensure the development of a cadre of future talent in these areas. NPS provides award distribution services for fellowships granted under the first two competitions.
