Summary |
This research addresses the following topics: - Quantifying the warfighter utility for social media information in today’s DoD/DHS mission sets - Introducing concepts of mission-driven, social media “datacubes” as interoperable information sources for the warfighter - Defining the social media mission-driven application workflow as a set of “sensors” of the social media “terrain,” along with a set of advanced analytics software that exploit the “sensor data” for intelligence for that mission - Development of mission-driven Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for warfighter utilization of new social media sensors and advanced analytics software applications - Understanding concepts behind assessing social media sensors and advanced analytics software applications used to further exploit the social media sensor data - Understanding concepts behind assessing cloud architectures needed to enable automated or semi-automated information flow between the social media sensors, advanced analytics software applications, and warfighters. - Concepts defining mission-driven, experimental testbed architectures for assessing social media sensors, advanced analytics software applications, cloud architectures, and newly developed TTPs for utilizing social media sensors, advanced analytics software applications, and cloud architectures. - Development of mission-driven scenarios to simulate within the testbed architecture having to do with a complex event (such as disaster at the same time as a cyber attack, a bombing event together with a disaster event, or similar.) |
