Back Demonstration of Aerosol Duct Sealing Technology at Department of the Navy Facilities
Fiscal Year | 2011 |
Division | Research & Sponsored Programs |
Department | Meyer Institute |
Investigator(s) | Marquis, Fernand D.S. |
Sponsor | Naval Facilities Engineering Command (Navy) |
Summary | The objective of this project is to prove that duct sealant technology, if applied to air duct applications within the Navy energy program, can save energy without any maintenance or operation issues and with a simple payback within the expected lifetime of the technology. An additional objective is to develop a tool to use to accurate predict energy savings ahead of time. This tool will be primarily used by ESCOs and energy managers to propose that this technology be used in Energy Savings Performance Contracts where savings are required to be guaranteed by the ESCO. |
