Summary This proposed effort is in support of the Propagation Channel Assessment and Prediction (PCAP) project, which in turn addresses important aspects of the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP). There is a pressing need within SEWIP for a robust climatological approach to characterize atmospheric impacts on expected passive detection ranges by the AN/SLQ-32(V)6 electronic warfare (EW) system deployed on major U.S. Navy surface ships. This project will fulfill this requirement by delivering the databases, codes and analysis methodologies necessary to provide the "RF Range of the Region" for electronic support (ES) planning from a week to months or years into the future.
