|Sponsor||Combating Terrorism Fellowship Program (DoD)|
|Summary||The current CORE Lab curricula guides international students through five selected courses in visual analytics with an emphasis on geospatial, temporal, and social network analysis methodologies. Funding will be used to further expand CORE Lab capacity by developing a structured program of instruction and exportable outreach training and education program. These outreach programs will aide in addressing key gaps identified in Partner Nation analytic capabilities to effectively illuminate and combat terrorist organizations. These funds will provide the necessary resources for continued efforts in advanced network analysis methodologies and tools required by key Partner Nations, like those currently being worked with the Colombia National Police. Advanced visual analytic methodologies and open-source tools taught and developed in the CORE Lab like Lighthouse, IEDNA (Improvised Explosive Device Network Analysis), and DTNA (Dynamic Twitter Network Analysis) have proven to be effective tools for enabling operations and intelligence fusion in support of effective counter-terrorism operations.|
