Summary This project will involve research for mapping and illuminating networks of facilitators and communication engaged in channeling and trafficking both material and personnel between ISIL-affected areas and Africa. It will also pay attention to identifying local networks capable of monitoring activities between local Jihadist networks and ISIL. Jihadist networks in Africa can become a much bigger strategic threat if they are fused with returning locals radicals from the Middle East. Increasing movement of material and personnel to and from ISIL is likely to result renewed Jihadist activities in key partner countries in the near future.
