Summary The US Navy's Civil Engineer Corps (CEC)'s Commander Leadership course is designed to provide officers recently selected or promoted to Commander (05) in the Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) with recent updates within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFACENGCOM) and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) and updates of the most recent leadership philosophies, mission strategies, and program management development within the NAVFACENGCOM. This will allow them to effectively meet operational readiness, worldwide contingency, expeditionary operations and to manage their responsibilities and programs in support of Department of Defense (DoD), Navy, and Marine Corps missions.
The Naval Postgraduate School will be providing discussions on diversity and inclusion, leadership styles and self-awareness, and risk-based decisions in support of the overall course objectives. As part of the leadership styles and self-awareness discussion, the participants will be completing the MBTI Form Q, Step II Interpretive Report.
