Summary	This initial phase of work will include the review of pertinent literature on the complex exponential algorithm and its implementation. This task will provide the necessary background for follow-on work which will involve the development of new code for the algorithm, and detailed study of its properties and performance applied to full-scale shock test data (FSST).
