Summary | This statement of work documents specific tasks to be performed by NPS/CIRPAS, through its prime contractor Zivko, in support of BAE Systems' Flight testing. The primary goal of this series of UAV flights are to conduct in-flight engineering tests on the onboard scientific instrumentation and to verify the integration of the Laser altimeter into the navigation system for low level flight. BAE is conducting these flight tests in support of Scripps Institution of Oceanography. BAE is providing the airborne platform to conduct the flight operations in support of this engineering test. The customer will use CIRPAS facility to conduct extensive comparisons of the atmospheric parameters recorded by the UAVs with the measurements from a meteorological station (Eddy Covariance) and a wind LIDAR profiler. |
