Summary | The objective of this effort is to provide research and development programmatic support and expert consultation to DARPA in the areas of Human Systems (HS) which includes (a) Human Systems Integration, (b) Education and Training and medical modeling and simulation for education and training. This object will be accomplished an advisor to OSD's Human Systems' Community of Interest (HSCOI) sponsored by OSD (R&E) and chaired by ONR (John Tangney) and the USAF 711 HPW (Jack Blackhurst). This will ensure that CAPT Shilling is up to date on all new HSCOI actions that might affect DARPA. In addition, as a USA delegate to the NATO Human Factors and Medical (HFM) and related NATO education and training R&D programs the PI will maintain cognizance of those R&D programs that relate to STEM and Human Systems Technology outreach. This support includes analysis and S&T programmatic assessments as related to HSI and Education/Training science and technology throughout the DoD. NPS will provide technical assistance to DARPA by providing expert consultation and monitoring ongoing science and technology efforts in social networks, gaming, and mobile applications across DoD as well as activities associated with NATO Human Factors and Medical (HFM) Panel and The Technical Cooperation Program (TTCP) HUM Group. |
