Summary | MSA program is sponsored by CNO OPNAV N81, sponsor and community manager for the Navy Operations Research Analysis subspecialty 3210 and 3211. Approximately two-thirds of Navy Operations Research Analysis subspecialty requirements can be met by the NPS resident 360 OA curriculum. The other third comes from the DL MSA 363 curriculum. MSA(363) starts two cohorts per year to meet the CNO requirements. 363 seats are primarily filled by qualified active-duty Navy and Marine Corps officers. Seats not filled by active-duty Navy and Marine Corps officers for the full two-year master's degree program are made available for open enrollment to other uniformed officers, Department of the Navy and other federal government civilians, and defense contractor civilians under the sponsorship of their organization, with tuition costs reimbursed per this tuition model. SA Cert (281) is a four-course, integral part of the master's program, which can also be taken as a stand-alone non-degree certificate program. 281 seats are primarily filled by qualified active-duty Navy and Marine Corps officers. Most stand-alone 281 Certificate students are actually seated in classes scheduled for 363 MSA. The stand-alone SA Certificate can also be applied for full credit towards future enrollment in the MSA program, and can also be used to reduce time onboard at NPS for particular resident programs. |
