Summary |
The primary goal of this forum is to help examine and develop new models of education for Kindergarten through Graduate University education. The conference (held 31 October 2011 to 2 November 2011) will bring innovative educators from around the world to discuss how we can transform education to improve global sustainability, honor human rights, help developing nations and get the developed nations lo extend their priorities from just Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to what is termed STEM-Plus. A special session with African leaders on November 2 will focus on Agriculture Education for Africa and to discuss a pilot program, the formation of CropCorps. a specialized version of the PeaceCorps, as a possibility for educating Africans. NPS has invited targeted DoD, UN and DoS leadership to the forum. Captain Porter, USN, Strategy, OCJCS, is trying to bring Howard Buffet to the meetings (The Buffet Foundation focuses on Africa and food issues). Other anticipated attendees include educators from India, the Middle East and Africa. |
