Summary | The Cultural Geography (CG) model is a Java based, government owned discrete event social simulation that implements a multi-agent system to simulate changes in the beliefs, values, and interests (BVIs) of large social groups. The model, originally developed to gain insight into stability and irregular warfare environments, focuses on the representation of a geographic area as a conflict ecosystem. This work will review and document CG model for flexibility, use of Event Graph Component principles, and explore a number of extensions to its functionality. A lightweight version (CG-Lite) will be explored with preliminary design and implementation performed. Additional functionality, such as agent use of "mental simulation" within a scenario will also be explored. |
