Summary | This is a request for a six months extension of an existing cooperative agreement (Grant N00244-08-1-0022) in order to complete our ongoing research support to my National Science Foundation Grant entitled "Transport, Mixing and Coherent Structures in Hurricane Intensity" The contract will focus on quantifying the role of vertical hot towers and vortex Rossby waves in hurricane/typhoon intensification, a major DoD interest in the western Pacific sector. |
