Summary | Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) will support the Navy Railgun Program by providing basic/applied research in the area of pulsed power systems (PPS). From a component level thyristors and snubbers will be electrically characterized. From a broader system level NPS will develop a concept for a mobile gun charging system, Perform a trade study for a rotating machine PPS, and perform failure mode and effects analysis. |
