Summary | For the period of this proposal (FY18) the NPS team will concentrate on two main research areas: 1) Distributed training and knowledge transfer methodologies that will continue to develop the Reserve and Independent Duty Administration Course (RIDAC) and provide a limited level of support for the Inspector-Instructor DL Training curriculum, while simultaneously transitioning it to full MARFORRES control, and 2) Decision making tools that include the complete transition of the Hurricane Decision Simulator (HDS) and continued development of decision support tools through optimization, and other techniques. Embedded in these two research directions is a need to examine cultural and organizational environments that have an impact on training and decision-making. Both research areas require specific development technology and methodologies to meet MARFORRES's long-term objectives in these mission areas. |
