Summary |
LIG Nex1 is an aerospace and defense research institutes which develops and produces a wide range of advanced precision electronic systems, including missile, underwater weapon systems and mine countermeasure systems and devices. The NPS Naval Ocean Analysis and Prediction (NOAP) Laboratory is dedicated to basic research and operational application toward objective analysis on ocean observational data and accurate prediction on ocean environment. Expertise includes studying the impact of ocean environment on decision making in support of naval operations such as mine warfare, undersea warfare and antisubmarine warfare. Specifically, NOAP Lab is developing a theory and measure to improve mine detection, neutralization and sweeping which is very important to naval operations. NOAP Lab of NPS and LIG Nex1 will collaborate on identifying key technologies that should be considered for future mine warfare and unmanned underwater systems. The investigation will also consider the effects that evolving technology, changes in the physical operating environment and current and future naval tactics will have on mine warfare. |
