Summary | The purpose of this project is to develop a systematic methodology for the security assessment and the construction of composite information systems, as well as a set of metrics and rules for security properties of individual components that will later be connected to such systems. We expect that this work will provide significant advancements in three security-engineering areas: generalized methods of security assessment of composite systems, design principles for secure inter-connectable components, and increase in reusability of secure inter-connectible components. |
