Summary | The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) proposes to develop a large collection of specific software samples for use by the DARPA Cyber Genome program to assist in its effort to evaluate, verify and validate tools under development. These samples will be generated by NPS through a variety of means, but in all cases specific attention will be paid to recording all aspects of provenance ground truth; to include authorship, lineage, development environment, and functionality. The primary objective of NPS' effort however will be the generation of as many samples as possible in the near term. This proposal will also evaluate the use of computer-assisted tools in software development. |
