Summary The Center for Civil Military Relations (CCMR) mission is to build partner capacity and improve interagency and international coordination and cooperation by addressing civil-military challenges in support of US Security Cooperation goals. CCMR builds partner capacity through in-residence programs, and mobile teams. This agreement funds the faculty and staff infrastructure, research, in-resident and mobile programs of the Center for Civil Military Relations (CCMR) in support of the Wales Initiative Fund - Defense Institution Building (WW-DIB) program, and the Defense Institution Reform Initiative (DIRI), now the Defense Governance and Management Team (DGMT).
Defense Governance and Management Team (DGMT) comprises low cost, small footprint, high value DoD programs building effective, transparent, and accountable partner defense institutions. DGMT aims to sustain operational/tactical gains of U.S. security cooperation investments, enable partners to manage their own security, contribu1e to broader security sector reform, strengthen whole-of-government and OSD-MoD relationships, promote effective regional collaboration (where possible), and instill a "pay it forward" ethic.
