The International Defense Acquisition Resource Management (IDARM) Program at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California educates authorized allied military officers and civilian equivalents. IDARM provides graduate level executive and continuing education programs that support intellectual innovation and growth throughout the careers of the total force. IDARM program offerings provide participants with the tools, techniques, and skills to foster improvements in defense acquisition decision-making within their armed forces and defense institutions. IDARM will conduct two courses in the Czech Republic and provide participants with an understanding of the important concepts and key considerations associated with defense acquisition management. International best practices are discussed along with the challenges of implementation. Course lectures are augmented with a case study and working group exercises. Improvement of defense acquisition management systems in the participant nation will enhance the U.S. Government’s security sector objectives at the national and regional level. Additionally, these courses will help build the intellectual capital of the Naval Postgraduate School faculty confirmed to support this efforts.
