Summary | Our approach allows for a diversity of signal inputs, configurable workflows, standard formats with the option of new compression codecs and emerging transport streams, and is based on media delivery over Internet Protocol (IP). Furthermore, we propose a modularized system that not only provides the required in-field capabilities, but also enhances shipboard capabilities while providing for long-term content management at shore components through robust metadata and content management. It is a scalable, approach well-suited to cloud-services architectures and supported by many years of experience, a robust research community and a deep understanding of Navy operational requirement. |
