The California Homeland Security Consortium (CHSC) staff will administer and support research projects that conduct field experiments and exercises designed to support the homeland security National Preparedness Guidelines (NPG) goal: "to improve the operational capability to prevent and protect against domestic incidents" (Department of Homeland Security 2007). The Consortium will organize a Board, personnel from various First Responder agencies, to prioritize problem areas that hinder or limit response abilities due to technological constraints. The Naval Postgraduate School's (NPS) existing field test beds at Fort Ord, Camp Roberts, and Fort Hunter Liggett will be leveraged to demonstrate research work that is being conducted. |
