Summary | The objective of the proposed study is to understand the dynamical response of composite structures immersed in the water, which is subjected to impact or impulse loading. Furthermore, dynamical responses of the structures in water and air will be compared to enhance the understanding of the effects of fluid-structure interaction on marine composite structural behaviors through both experimental and numerical studies. In addition, a parametric study will be undertaken in order to identify the major factors that influence composite structures in terms of fluid-structure interaction effects. |
