Summary The proposed work is participating in planning for a major field experiment to provide new short-term (s(1 month)) and long-term (0(1 year)) in situ observations of macrotidal flat hydrodynamics, sedimentological processes, and morphodynamics relationship through unique multi-scaled surveying platforms, specialized instrumentation, and remote sensing techniques. These observations will be integrated into naval prediction models for muddy tidal flats.
