Fiscal Year 2011
Division Graduate School of Engineering & Applied Science
Department Physics
Investigator(s) Haegel, Nancy M.
Sponsor Spectrolab (Other)
Summary NPS will utilize its unique transport imaging laboratory capability. Laboratory is equipped with (a JEOL 840A Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) with an attached optical microscope and a FEI Field Emission Microscope (FEM) with a near field scanning optical microscope) to image luminescence from solar cell structures provided by Boeing-Spectrolab. Up to six (6) samples will be provided by Spectrolab and NPS will image the luminescence using both biasing of the device and electron beam excitation. NPS will acquire and process the data and provide the results to Spectrolab. Pursuant to applicable statutes, information arising from NPS' performance should be considered proprietary to the customer.
