Summary | This study is primarily motivated by a paradox facing Special Operations Forces: the growing need for scalable options to cope with an increasing number of irregular conflicts juxtaposed with policy constraints placed on SOF. In order to mitigate this conundrum, Remote Advise and Assist was introduced in July 2014 by the CENTCOM Special Forces (SF) Crisis Response Force (CRF) Troop. This project has two primary purposes: prototyping an enhanced kit to validate the scalability and expandability of RAA and conducting quantitative analysis to identify the conditions and practices that maximize the utility of RAA. |
