|Division||Graduate School of Operational & Information Sciences|
|Sponsor||National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office (DoD)|
The National Maritime Intelligence Integration Office (NMIO) has offered the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) the opportunity to co-host the 2017, 6th annual Global Maritime Forum.
NPS will support, develop, host, facilitate, and assess this two-day workshop, designed to bring together maritime-related thought leaders from government, academia, research & development, intelligence, and industry who can build upon the work of previous GMF workshops to further advance the Global Maritime Community of Interest (GMCOI) and the Maritime Science & Technology (S&T) community of interest. This event will enhance S&T awareness, and focus on the integration, of ongoing research and technology in the public and private sectors among the GMCOI S&T stakeholders, which are key to NMIO’s mission. Stakeholders include representatives from public, academic, and private sectors, as well as think tanks, and national laboratories. The final report will be sent directly to the Director of National Intelligence for consideration of its insights into such issues as maritime sensors, big data analytics, networks, and operations.
