Summary Executable Architecture Systems Engineering (EASE) is an ongoing effort to enable simulation models to be implemented as cloud services. The proposed architecture will enable users of simulations to identify the appropriate simulation models, configure the desired scenarios and experiments, and conduct the runs without having to install custom software.
Joint Dynamic Allocation of Fires and Sensors (JDAFS) is a low-resolution, entity-level model that has been developed at TRAC-Monterey. It has proved useful in rapidly developing and executing combat models of small-to-medium size. JDAFS’s modular component architecture makes it well-suited to modifications to its allocation methods of assigning fires platforms to targets, as well as to the basic decision logic of the platforms themselves.
This project will investigate a methodology for incorporating JDAFS into the EASE architecture and create a plan for implementation.
