Summary |
The National Security Agency (NSA or Agency), under the Director of Mr. Steve LaFountain, Distinguished Chair for Information Assurance and cyber, Associate Directorate for Education and Training is developing criteria for Centers of Excellence in Cyber Operations (Centers). In addition the Agency intends to provide incentives for the Center participants to do development in areas of interest to the Agency. The Centers will be housed at various colleges and universities in the United States. They will provide an encouragement and focus for both the development of "talent" and for research in topics that will be of interest to the Agency in both offensive and defensive cyber operations. To support this effort, the Agency is developing a series of Seminars. The first seminars were offered in summer 2012. Mr. LaFountain has asked for the assistance of Professor McEachen to support follow-on development and presentation of some of these seminars in Summer 2013. |
