Summary The objective of this research is to support and improve modeling and simulation (M&S) research initiatives of current 8825 students, NPS faculty advisors, qualified 8825 officers, M&S stakeholder community representatives, and HPT&E principals to ensure Marine Corps gaps are properly addressed. By advancing collaboration and discussion across the M&S community of interest, the effort will improve identification, selection, and execution of research that will directly benefit the Marine Corps and the HPT&E community at large. This effort will not only improve the M&S network of professionals. Additionally, it will give the students experience in running research and programming teams so that they understand the inherent tensions involved in that kind of work, and improve the quality of their thesis research. The research will focus on advancing cutting edge M&S areas of interest that include but not limited to decision making, virtual environments, and assessment.
