Summary | The CubeSat Laboratory in the Space Systems Academic Group is working in partnerships to develop novel capabilities using the very small satellite form factor known as the CubeSat to accomplish focused research projects of national interest. To accomplish this for scientific-based earth observations, a Boeing-built CubeSat bus will be integrated with an LLNL optical payload to perform an EO pathfinder mission called PICARD. This project builds on previous collaborative work between Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and NPS and also provides opportunities for thesis research for NPS students relevant to their space systems studies. |
