Summary | United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) has requested that the Center of Contemporary Conflict at the Naval Postgraduate School support the development and analysis of public opinion data on security and defense issues in Latin America as part of USSOUTHCOM's Socio-cultural Dynamics (SCD) Program. The Center on Contemporary Conflict will provide program management and analytical support and will contract with a leading US-based academic or research institution with at least five years of experience conducting cross regional public opinion polling on political, social and economic in Latin America to secure access to the relevant public opinion data. Initial focus of effort in FY11 is public opinion in Argentina. If additional funds are made available from USSOUTHCOM in FY12, this will be used to secure additional public opinion data from Chile. |
