Summary | This project intend to request funding to support the purchase of the MZA PROPS that is capable of providing Cn2 profiles along the beam propagation path through measurements of the turbulent wavefronts using two identical optical transceiver terminals at each end of a propagation path. The time-resolved wavefront sensing is advantageous over many of the imaging turbulence monitoring systems, while the extended range of 5-10 km of PROPS provides the needed range capability for quantifying spatial variability. |
