Summary The goal of this proposed effort is to continue to develop increasingly accurate, efficient and capable models and databases that characterize atmospheric impacts on the performance of electromagnetic and electro-optical (EM/EO) sensors, weapons, ESM/ECM and communications systems. Ultimately, this effort will directly contribute to providing U.S. Navy and DoD warfighters with superior battlespace awareness to guide and optimize Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare (EMW) decision-making and planning for the current or predicted environmental conditions. A goal of this project is to quickly exploit and transition new research advances and the availability of new datasets through their incorporation into new operational products. When sufficiently mature, the models and databases that are being developed and continually improved as part of this project will be submitted to the CNMOC Oceanic and Atmospheric Master Library (OAML) in order to make fully tested, validated, documented and accredited products available ¿off the shelf¿ as needed by DoD researchers and developers of EM/EO prediction tools and systems.
